Since 2009 Future Hope has enjoyed the special support of Rugby School
Rugby School staff voluntarily spend time at Future Hope providing advice and support to teachers.
During the academic year 2013/14, Georgie Dixon, a member of the Maths Department spent the academic year working alongside Future Hope teachers helping to develop the Junior Maths curriculum. Paul Bryant, Head of Economics and Business, spent a five week period teaching Business in the summer of 2013 and Sally Rosser, Deputy Head, visited in February 2014 and again in February 2015. Two of the Future Hope teachers visited Rugby for two weeks in 2014 spending time in local primary schools, as well as in Rugby School, broadening their teaching experience.
Beyond that, the pupils of Rugby School have become tremendous supporters of Future Hope: in September 2012 the entire school took part in a sponsored walk to raise money, and many individual pupils, parents and alumni have raised funds for us independently. We have also welcomed a number of gap volunteers over the years.
Under the Arnold Foundation scheme one of our youngsters recently completed A levels at Rugby School and is now at university in the UK.
