Girls' Visit to Hong Kong- June 2011
In June 2011 6 of our girls were invited to visit the Island School in Hong Kong and to perform traditional dances at the school’s very own “Mela” - a fundraiser for Future Hope. The School has supported FH for many years but this has been a really exceptional bonding experience.
The group, led by Jane Carling and Tim, spent time at the school but also travelled all over Hong Kong, visiting friends of Future Hope as well as the sites of HK – the Peak, the Star Ferry, the markets and Ocean Park. On the final day was the Mela, organised by Island School pupil, Jamie Hodson.
Our thanks go to Jamie and all the staff at the Island School who have not only raised much needed funds for Future Hope, but given some of our girls an unforgettable and truly educational experience.
